Upgrading Your Plan

Upgrading from FIELD to SCOPE or CERTIFY takes about 60 seconds. Here's exactly what happens to your billing, your data, and your access when you upgrade.

Upgrading Your Plan

You can upgrade your Estimatics plan at any time — upgrades take effect immediately. You don't lose any data, jobs, or settings when you upgrade. You gain access to new features the moment the upgrade processes.


How to upgrade

  1. Click your avatar in the top-right corner of the web dashboard
  2. Select Billing (or go to Organization Settings → Billing)
  3. Click Change Plan
  4. Select the plan you want to upgrade to
  5. Review the proration summary showing what you'll be charged today
  6. Click Confirm Upgrade

Your plan upgrades instantly. New features appear in your job workspace immediately — no refresh required.

Who can upgrade: Super Admin only.


What happens to your billing

Proration

You're not charged twice for the same period. When you upgrade mid-cycle, Estimatics calculates:

  1. The credit for the unused days on your current plan
  2. The charge for the remaining days at the new plan rate
  3. The difference is what you pay today

Example: You're on FIELD at $32/mo. On day 15 of a 30-day billing cycle, you upgrade to SCOPE at $69/mo.

  • Credit for 15 unused days on FIELD: ~$16
  • Charge for 15 days on SCOPE: ~$34.50
  • Charged today: ~$18.50

Your next billing date doesn't change — you continue on the same monthly cycle, now at the SCOPE rate of $69/mo.

Annual plan upgrades

If you're on an annual plan, the same proration logic applies but calculated across the remaining days in your annual term. The difference between the annual rates is prorated for the time remaining.


What changes immediately after upgrading

FIELD → SCOPE

  • Full AI damage analysis tab becomes active on all new and existing jobs
  • Regional pricing applied to all new scopes generated
  • Standard Geometry™ available for roof geometry on new and existing jobs
  • Professional branded reports unlocked in the Reports module
  • Report branding settings (logo, color, footer) appear in Organization Settings

SCOPE → CERTIFY

  • Code Trigger Engine appears in the Estimate module
  • Defendibility Score appears in the Estimate module before submission
  • Certified Evidence hash chain applied to all new media captures from this point forward
  • Defendible+ Geometry™ available for new geometry requests
  • Xactimate export option appears in the Estimate module

Note on existing jobs: Upgrading applies new features to existing jobs where technically possible (AI findings, reports). Evidence hash chains (Certified Evidence) apply only to media captured after the upgrade — previously captured media was not certified at the time of capture.


Switching to annual billing

You can switch from monthly to annual billing at any time to save ~25%:

  1. Go to Billing → Change Plan
  2. Toggle the billing frequency to Annual
  3. Confirm — you'll be charged the annual amount immediately and credited for any unused days on your current monthly cycle

Annual billing renews automatically each year unless you cancel.


Upgrading vs. pay-per-project

If you need higher-tier features for a single complex claim but don't want to upgrade your entire plan, consider pay-per-project pricing instead:

Frequently asked questions

Can I downgrade after upgrading? Yes. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access to your current plan's features until the period ends. No refund is issued for the remaining days.

Will my team lose access during the upgrade? No. The upgrade is instantaneous and seamless. Team members actively working jobs won't experience any interruption.

What if my card declines during the upgrade? The upgrade won't process. Update your payment method in Billing → Payment Methods and try again.

Can I upgrade and downgrade repeatedly? You can change plans as often as needed. Each change is prorated. Frequent plan changes do not affect your data or job history.

Is there a free trial for higher-tier plans? Contact support@aiestimatics.com to request a trial of SCOPE or CERTIFY features on an active job before committing to an upgrade.
