Navigating the Job Workspace
Every inspection in Estimatics lives inside a job workspace — a single, organized view that takes you from raw field photos all the way to a delivered report. Once you know where everything lives, you'll move through inspections faster and never lose context.
Opening a job workspace
From the Jobs dashboard, click any job to open its workspace. If you're on iOS, tap the job from your Jobs list.
The workspace URL follows this pattern:
app.aiestimatics.com/jobs/{job-id}
You can bookmark individual jobs or share the URL with a team member — they'll land directly in the same workspace.
The job header
At the top of every workspace, you'll see the job header. It contains the key details for this inspection at a glance.
| Element | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Job display ID | Unique number (e.g., Job #6778) — reference this in conversations with your team or clients |
| Property address | The address the job is tied to — links to a map view |
| Status badge | Current status (Scheduled, In Progress, In Review, Submitted, Closed) — click to update |
| Assigned to | The inspector or adjuster responsible for this job |
| Scheduled date | When the inspection is set to happen |
| Job type | Storm, Water, Fire, or Other |
You can edit any of these fields directly from the header — click the field to update it.
The five module tabs
Below the header, five tabs represent the stages of your inspection. They run left to right in the order you'll typically use them.
Capture
Your media library. Every photo and video captured with the iOS app appears here, organized by room and area. On the web, you can also upload photos directly, add markup and annotations, and review media as it syncs from the field in real time.
This tab is available on all plans and is fully functional today.

Geometry
Your roof sketch. Estimatics generates a roof diagram automatically from satellite imagery — dimensions, pitch, facets, and total area — without requiring a drone or ladder measurement. On higher plans, field photos and drone data improve the accuracy further.
| Plan | Geometry type | Accuracy |
|---|---|---|
| FIELD | Instant Geometry™ (satellite) | ~80% |
| SCOPE | Standard Geometry™ (satellite + field photos) | ~90% |
| CERTIFY | Defendible+ Geometry™ (drone + COLMAP + LiDAR) | 95%+ |
Coming soon. The Geometry module is rolling out progressively. You'll see a "Coming Soon" indicator in this tab until it's available for your plan.
Analyze
Your AI damage findings. Once your photos are uploaded, Estimatics reviews each one and identifies damage by type, severity, and location. Every finding is tied to the specific photo that supports it — making it easy to defend in appraisal or dispute.
Available on SCOPE and CERTIFY plans.
Coming soon. Rolling out alongside the Geometry module.
Estimate
Your scope and pricing. The AI generates a complete line-item scope from your damage findings. You review it, adjust quantities or descriptions, and export — as a Quick Estimate PDF (all plans), a full professional report (SCOPE+), or Xactimate format (CERTIFY).
Coming soon. Rolling out after Analyze.
Reports
Your deliverable. Create a branded damage report with your company logo, colors, and contact details. Share it via a link with expiration date, or download as a PDF for email delivery.
Available on SCOPE and CERTIFY plans.
Coming soon. Rolling out after Estimate.
The Notes panel
The Notes panel is accessible from any tab via the notes icon in the job header toolbar. It's a real-time collaboration space — every member of your team with access to the job can see and add notes simultaneously.
Notes support:
- Free-text entries with timestamps
- File attachments
- @mentions to notify specific team members
- Photo annotations and markups linked directly to notes
Notes are internal — they are never included in client-facing reports unless you explicitly copy them into the report body.

The job activity feed
On the right side of the workspace (or bottom on mobile), the activity feed shows a chronological log of everything that has happened on this job:
- Media uploads (with timestamp and uploader)
- Status changes
- Note additions
- Team member assignments
- Report generation and delivery events
The activity feed updates in real time via WebSocket — if your colleague is uploading photos in the field right now, you'll see them appear without refreshing the page.

Frequently asked questions
Can multiple people have the same job open at the same time? Yes. The workspace is fully collaborative — multiple team members can view and edit simultaneously. Changes appear in real time.
Can I see who made a specific change? Yes. Every change in the activity feed is attributed to the team member who made it, with a timestamp.
Why are some module tabs greyed out? The Geometry, Analyze, Estimate, and Reports modules are rolling out progressively. If a tab shows "Coming Soon," it's not yet available on your plan or in your region. Check back — we're releasing updates regularly.
Can I archive a job without deleting it? Yes. Setting a job to Closed status removes it from the active Jobs dashboard but preserves all media, notes, and reports. You can reopen a closed job at any time.
Is there a mobile version of the job workspace? The iOS app focuses on field capture. The full job workspace — with all five module tabs, the activity feed, and reports — is designed for the web dashboard on a laptop or desktop.
